Rossvale manager Martin Lauchlan praised his injury-hit team after they grabbed all three points away to East Kilbride on Saturday.
Goals from Chris Gordon and Fraser Team ensured the win, while also serving to vanquish the memory of last week’s shock defeat against Newmains.
Lauchlan had a number of injury woes to contend with before kick off and was forced to name a patch-work team selection.
He said: “We bounced back well I thought — we had to make a few changes due to injuries but still turned in a good showing.
“We even had to put on a striker to play at centre half which wasn’t ideal.
“I give all credit to the players that went out there on Saturday. We had some on the park that weren’t fully fit but they gave everything.”
Having now recovered their league footing, Rossvale will now face two consecutive cup fixtures — much to the frustration of Lauchlan.
He said: “We would very much like to be playing league games just now.
“We’d like to keep up the momentum but now we have to stop for the cup.
“I feel we’ll only get stronger though and are looking to add a few new faces in the coming weeks.
“I’ve noticed more fans coming out to support the steam as well and the team can only benefit from that.”
