DETERMINED Rob Roy head for Cumnock on Saturday and they’re determined to keep their good run going.

A last-gasp double last Saturday saw Rob Roy secure their first league points of the season – delighting gaffer Jimmy Lindsay.

This Saturday they take on Cumnock, a team who finished a spot below them in 2011/12.

Lindsay said: “A lot of the other teams drew at the weekend which was great for us.

“Now we hope to go to Cumnock and get another win against a team who performed similarly to us last year. We’re looking forward to it.”

The Cumnock match kicks off at Townhead Park at 2pm on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Rossvale FC drew 2-2 with Wishaw on Saturday, but gaffer Ian Gray was far from happy with a point.

Questionable refereeing saw the Bishopbriggs side reduced to 10 men for the second time in less than a week. Vale also had a man red-carded in Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat away to Maryhill.

Gray fumed: “It was a joke to be honest. Dempsey won the ball cleanly, but the referee said he went in aggressively and showed him a straight red.”

Despite the howler from the man in black, Vale had enough chances to win the game. They were 2-0 up at half-time and Gray said it could easily have been eight!

It’s been a tough task of late for Vale’s management to get a team on the park due to players’ work and holiday commitments – a task made even harder now due to suspensions.

This Saturday, Rossvale take on Blantyre Vics away – kick-off at 2pm.
