Housebuilders CALA Homes (West) helped Kirkintilloch amateur side Harestanes FC get their new season off to a roaring start by announcing its support of the team for the fourth year running.
The team, which plays in the Foster’s Central Scottish AFL, will sport new blue tracksuits gifted by CALA Homes (West), who are building the luxurious Earl’s View development in nearby Lenzie.
In previous years champion local amateur team Harestanes FC has also been gifted with new football kits, bags and sweatshirts, with CALA Homes contributing more than £2,000 to the club over the last four years.
Harestanes club president Ian Colston said: “CALA Homes and the team at Earl’s View have been great supporters of ours and have generously agreed to sponsor us for a number of years now. We’d like to extend a big thank you to them for their ongoing backing.”
Last season Harestanes won the Scottish Amateur Cup for the third time in the club’s 34-year history, as well as also taking top spot in the league.
Ian continued: “Last year was a remarkable year for the entire team. It was absolutely fantastic to take home two trophies and win automatic entry to the Senior Scottish Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
“I have no doubt we will go from strength to strength and are delighted to have the continued support of CALA as we take on this challenge.”
Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director for CALA Homes (West), said: “We’re delighted to announce our continued support of the talented team at Harestanes.
“The football club is a much-loved community team with great support from the residents of Kirkintilloch, Lenzie and beyond.”
