Rossvale are out of cup competition
rossvale gaffer Ian Gray insists his side did nothing wrong despite crashing out of the Central League Cup at Petershill Park on Saturday.
Lanark United progress to the next stage of the competition following their 4-1 win and Gray believes they were the best team on the day.
He said: “Nothing went wrong. We were playing a Super League side who are two divisions above us and we more than matched them for large parts of the game.”
Despite the scoreline, Gray believes there is a lot of positives to be taken from the game.
He said: “There were a lot of positives to take from the game and hopefully we can continue with that level of performance for the remaining league games.”
Rossvale take a break from league duty this week due to Lanarkshire side Stonehouse Violet folding and forcing the Central District Second Division to continue with 11 teams.
