FOOTBALL training is beginning to get up and running again, with a host of teams looking for talent in East Dunbartonshire.

* ROSSVALE 21s (Bishopbriggs) are holding open trials for ex-pro youth and high-standard boys club players. Players will be playing in an academy environment, with SFA Quality Mark club-qualified coaches and its own facilities. The best players could progress to the junior team. * LENZIE youth club 2001 are looking for new players as the team prepare for their last few months at soccer 7s. Experienced players’ parents can contact Billy on 0781806752.

* CUMBERNAULD Colts 1999’s are looking for experienced players in all positions to strengthen their squad and play in the coming season in the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth League, along with festivals and cup competitions including the Scottish Cup. SYFA Quality Mark club with coaches all PVG disclosed, qualified to a high level and enthusiastic. Training on Tuesday and Thursday evening within Broadwood Stadium. Weekend home games mostly played within the stadium on a Saturday morning. Access to all the stadium facilities available to players, including a lounge, fully kitted dressing room, VIP suit and physiotherapy.

* BALJAFFRAY FC Thistle U17s (1996) are looking for players to strengthen the squad for season 2012-13,

most notably goalkeeper, striker, centre mid & right back, however, players will be considered for all positions. The team plays in the Paisley & Johnstone District League, Saturday afternoon (2pm) - home games at Colquhoun Park - Bearsden. Training on Tuesday 6.30pm @ Bearsden Academy. * ROSSVALE Milan U17s (1996s) are looking for players of proven ability to join them for season 2012/13. They play in the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth League on a Sunday

* THE new Summer Six-a-side League starting at Kirkintilloch leisure centre astroturf is appealing to local teams; last three spaces available and it’s the last chance to join. On Thursday night at Kirkintilloch, played on the astroturf. The league is FA affiliated, all equipment provided with qualified referees. No affiliation fee, £3 per player per week.
