Storm front leave Rabs on ice ... again!

COLD and rain decimated sport again at the weekend, with Kirkintilloch Rob Roy left on ice again.

Rabs’ game against Arthurlie on Saturday was scrapped because of a frozen pitch – the second league cancellation in two weeks.

The previous postponement came as a relief to the injury-ravaged Rob Roy side, but now the players are desperate for some competitive action.

Jimmy Lindsay said: “It’s a bit frustrating, particularly since we’ve recently signed Kenny Connelly from Auchinleck and are keen to see him run out for the team as soon as possible.”

Weather permitting, Rabs will play Auchinleck Talbot this weekend and victory would see them consolidate their place in the division’s top four.
