THEY might have made it into double figures in their last game, but Rob Roy will be happy with a win against Arthurlie on Saturday.
Gaffer Jimmy Lindsay was delighted with the 10-0 win over hapless Royal Albert last weekend.
Five goals from super striker Iain Diack and a hat-trick from Adam Coakley were amongst the highlights in the 10-0 trouncing of the division two strugglers.
Rabs now march into the third round of the Central League Cup – with a home tie against either Port Glasgow or Ashfield in the coming weeks.
Gaffer Jimmy Lindsay was delighted with the result, although he regrettably had to miss the game to attend a seminar on behalf of the club.
He said: “Assistant coach Derek Frye was in charge of the team and his first comment to me afterwards was that I could expect the sack on Monday!
It’s back to league business this weekend, with a crucial away tie against Arthurlie. Rabs know that a win will secure Premier Division football next year and give them a real chance of finishing the season in the top third of the table.
Lindsay said: “We’re looking forward to it and it should be a good game. We just need to keep on doing what we have been, although I might leave the half-time team talk to Derek!”
Rabs take on Arthulie this Saturday at Dunterlie Park. Kick-off is at 2pm.
