Freeze – nobody move ... sport has been cancelled!

JACK Frost was the only winner at the weekend as sport was decimated by a deluge of rain and then a hard frost.

Kirkintilloch Rob Roy were left cooling their heels, as were Campsie Black Watch, Waterside, Campsie Minerva and a host of other teams.

It was no better for rugby sides as Allan Glen’s RFC and Lenzie RFC both saw their games cancelled.

Bishopbriggs juniors side Rossvale did manage to get a game on – and recorded a 3-1 victory.

However, it’s shaping up to be a winter wipeout for many teams with games piling up.
