Get New Year off to a running start

THE countdown is on for the forthcoming Lenzie Jog races - being held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

Local runners of all abilities – especially family groups – are invited to go along and join in the post-festive fun.

There are fun runs over 2k (for younger runners and family groups), 4.5 and 9k.

Organised by Lenzie Community Council, with support from Kirkintilloch Olympians Athletics Club, the runs have attracted more than 150 people in the last few years.

Entries can be made on the day of the race at Lenzie Union Parish Church hall, from 10am, with the runs starting at 11am. Further details can be found on the Lenzie Community Council website – www. lenziecommunitycouncil.org.uk – and on the entry form on the right.
