Allan glen’s 28
Glens thought they were in for an easy day when McKeown wove his way through the visitors’ defence after only five minutes to score between the posts giving Thomson an easy kick for the extra points.
This proved not to be the case, however, as Annan came back strongly and Jones forced his way over well out on the wing. To his credit McCann added the extra points.
Glens then forced a penalty and Thomson added the three points.
Annan pressed hard and pinned Glens on their own line for the remainder of the first half and were rewarded when Jones dived over to score - but the conversion attempt failed making the score 12-10 going into the second half.
After the break the home team began to dominate the game, their forwards driving the opposition scrum off the ball and dominating loose play.
Glens backs were always a threat and when McKeown rounded his opposite number on the halfway line and eluded all other attempts to stop him the game was pretty well in the bag.
Glens then added a drive-over scrum, a penalty and a final try by Kirk.
Annan scored in the last minute through Clark, but it was too little too late and Glens picked up the bonus point.
