ROB Roy went down 2-0 to league strugglers Largs Thistle on Saturday - a game which gaffer Jimmy Lindsay had previously earmarked as a “must-win”.
Two late goals were enough to give Thistle only their third league win of the campaign and leaves Rabs desperate to rediscover the form that saw them top the table earlier in the season.
Lindsay told the Herald: “This is a major blow for us, because it could have put us back on track in the league.
“It could have gone either way, but we’re just not getting the rub of the green at the moment - we’re hitting the post, hitting the bar and the opposing keepers are pulling out some great saves.
“To be fair though, I think Thistle might have been pretty disappointed if they had come away with just a draw.”
This Saturday Rob Roy play Cumnock in the league at Adamslie Park. Kick-off is at 1.45pm.
