Rob Roy manager Stewart Maxwell was delighted with his side’s battling performance on Saturday away to Greenock.
The Rabs gaffer has lauded his team’s footballing ability in recent weeks, but his players faced a tougher, physical challenge at the weekend.
Rabs travelled to Ravenscraig Stadium knowing the task they faced ahead, and Maxwell was encouraged by his team’s versatility as they went on to win the game 2-1.
He said: “Greenock has always been a hard place to go and get a result, and we knew the kind of game it would be.
“They are a very physical, hard-working side and they certainly made us dig deep for the win. Maybe we didn’t pass the ball as well as we can but we were up for the battle.”
Ryan Tiffney marked his debut for Rabs by scoring the winning goal
