Rob Roy take on Johnstone Burgh at Keanie Park in this Saturday in the Central League Cup.

The second round game will come as a welcome break from league business, following last Saturday’s 1-0 away win over Neilston FC.

Maxwell said: “Even though Johnstone are in a lower league than us they will be looking to claim a bigger scalp and are not to be under-estimated.”

The Rabs boss continued: “Winning last weekend will give us a boost going into the cup game.”

Rob Roy had six players out through injury or suspension for last Saturday’s league game.

The Rob Roy manager believes that shows his squad can still win matches even with some key players not available for selection.

For this week’s cup game midfielder Chris Duff will be available for selection after being out for six weeks due to an ankle injury.

Maxwell added: “Chris Duff is an important part of the team, but at the end of the day it is about the team and not just one player. We will take every game as it comes.”
