Lenzie RFC travel to Uddingston on Saturday knowing a win would allow them to overtake Oban and jump into second place in the league table.
An impressive comeback against Oban at Viewfield last weekend edged the club ever closer to their aim of returning to Scottish rugby’s national leagues at the first time of asking.
Down to 14 men, five points behind and with just four minutes left on the clock, a quick break allowed Lenzie’s Cameron to touchdown between the posts.
With the scores tied at 16-16, Fraser showed nerves of steel to hoist his kick between the uprights for a vital victory. It also completed the treble over the Argyle and Bute outfit, with Lenzie having won their two previous games against Oban this season by three and one point respectively.
Fraser’s conversion maintained this streak perfectly by adding two winning points.
