THE golden boot of Donald Brodie saw Lenzie RFC clinch a thriller in the last minute on Saturday.
Brodie scored a 40-yard last minute penalty to give Lenzie an astonishing comeback victory against Cambuslang on Saturday.
At 17-3 down and well into the second-half at Viewfield, Brodie successfully struck over five penalties to clinch a tremendous win.
Cambuslang had gone in 10-0 up at the interval after a penalty and converted try but Brodie brought it back to 10-3 with the boot.
Lenzie fell further behind through another converted try before strong play from the pack forced Cambuslang’s forwards into conceding numerous penalties from which stand-off Brodie took full advantage.
Man-of-the-match for Lenzie was young full-back Kyle McBride, who greatly impressed throughout.
