Loads of fun for little monsters at Halloween ball

Dozens of little ‘monsters’ turned out for some fancy dress fun, courtesy of Kirkintilloch Community Council.

The community council organised a special “Monster Ball” to celebrate Halloween at the Parochial Hall on Saturday, October 29.

One of the organisers, treasurer Diane Murray said: “The Monster Ball went amazingly well. More than 70 children attended, all in amazing fancy dress costumes. Mums dressed up too.

“The best fancy dress prize for a child was a brand new tablet from the community council and the best fancy dress prize for a parent was a meal for four at the Lion & Star.

“The children had a ball, dooking for apples, playing the treacle doughnut game, as well as dancing statues. We had loads of prizes.”

The community council would like to say a huge thank to everyone who helped make the event such as success, especially some of the mums.

Thanks also go to those who donated prizes.
