Lanimer Procession 2014 video
The streets were packed with Lanarkians and those from further afield as the procession, filled with Japanese samurais, minions, golfers and even zombies set off.
Kids at Robert Owen Primary enjoyed an Indian Summer while the youngsters from Pebble Patch and Friends were definitely clubbing it in its Mini Ryder Cup entry.

Hide AdOrganiser Julie Cox said: “We made some of the costumes and Glenmuir were also very helpful in donating these pink jumpers.”
New Lanark Primary kids had an Easter Surprise entry while Clyde Valley Kindergarten’s costumes were inspired by the Ugly Bug Ball.
Lanark Primary’s Over The Rainbow pageant was simply Oz-some while The Walkin Deid were among us thanks to local theatre group ICE.
The minions were out in force as Little People Nursery paroded hit film Despicable Me and Bowrie Gang members were all at sea thanks to their Lanimers Ahoy entry.

Hide AdLanimer stalwarts The Kilninie Club and Kranal Club looked to the Far East for inspiration with Treasures of Thailand and A Glimpse of Japan respectively.
And St Mary’s Primary were inspired by The Princess and The Frog as over 80 kids took part in its Bayou Belle pageant.
Organiser Cheryl Reilly said: “The kids are absolutely loving it.”
