Public must have its say on Westway
North Lanarkshire Council is obliged to seek feedback from the public in regard to the blueprint for a new cinema, shopping mall and hotel at Westway.
The plans were re-submitted following a court decision which deemed that NLC should not have granted planning permission to the project after the bosses of the Antonine Centre said that due process had not been followed as regards to the impact on another business.

They also accused the Antoine Centre of not being fit for purpose and simply trying to sabotage a potential rival.
Now two local Parliamentarians who support the Westway project are calling for constituents to get involved in the process, the closing date for which is a week today (Wedneday July 15).
MSP Jamie Hepburn said: “Now’s the time for local residents to formally make their views known as part of the planning process.

Stuart McDonald MP added:“As the developers are having to submit a fresh application local residents are encouraged to make their views known to the council via their website.”
