Only got £150 a month to spare for a PCP finance deal? No worries. There’s a big choice of cracking cars on offer.
By far the biggest proportion of new car buys are made on PCP finance. These PCP deals reduce your monthly outgoings so that you can consider cars that you might have thought were way out of your price range.
Even for just £150 a month you’re not restricted to tiny city cars. That amount will also get you into small hatches, family cars, and even roomy estates.
We’ve rounded up what we consider to be the ten best PCP deals out there at the moment. The prices you’ll see here are the typical costs of each new car from a dealer once discounts have been taken into account, and the typical monthly PCP payment you’ll be making.
All the deals here are for three years, with a 30,000-mile limit.
10. Fiat 500 1.2 Pop 3dr
Typical price (on the road): £9292
Typical monthly payment: £129 (4.5% APR and £1625 finance deposit allowance)
Stylish and popular, the 500 is pretty basic at Pop level, and the ride is jiggly, but it’s zippy around town.
9. Suzuki Celerio 1.0 SZ3 5dr
Typical price (on the road): £8610
Typical monthly payment: £147 (5.9% APR)
A great city car, even with the 1.0 petrol engine, the Celerio is cheap to buy and run and for £150 a month you can afford the SZ3 with aircon and Bluetooth.
8. Hyundai i10 1.2 Premium 5dr
Typical price (on the road): £10,187
Typical monthly payment: £149 (4.9% APR and £500 finance deposit allowance)
Probably the best city car of all, especially in Premium SE spec (just outside out cash limit), but the regular Premium is agile and very roomy.
7. Toyota Auris Touring Sports 1.2T Icon
Typical price (on the road): £18,410
Typical monthly payment: £121 (0% APR and £1500 finance deposit allowance)
The deaerest car in our list but one of the cheapest to run on a PCP, the Auris Touring is a spacious estate with good performance and fuel efficiency.
6. Suzuki Swift 1.0 Boosterjet SZ-T
Typical price (on the road): £11,974
Typical monthly payment: £147 (2.9% APR and £500 finance deposit allowance)
Our second Suzuki, the Swift is a Fiesta rival offering good standard equipment and a perky drive. This SZ-T model has a 7.0in touchscreen and rear-view camera.
5. Dacia Sandero 0.9 TCe Ambiance
Typical price (on the road): £7441
Typical monthly payment: £118 (7.9% APR and £500 finance deposit allowance)
The UK’s most affordable new car is also our lowest-cost PCP deal, and it’s a good one too in Ambiance trim with aircon, DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity.
4. Skoda Citigo 1.0 MPI SE 3dr
Typical price (on the road): £8347
Typical monthly payment: £124 (2.9% APR and £1000 finance deposit allowance)
A Volkswagen Up with a different badge, so every bit as nice to drive but also a lot cheaper than the VW. The SE model gets air conditioning.
3. Skoda Fabia Estate 1.0 TSI 95 S
Typical price (on the road): £11,695
Typical monthly payment: £145 (2.9% APR and £2000 finance deposit allowance)
Though the S-spec cars are quite basic, the overall Fabia package is strong and we would happily go for the 1.0-litre petrol engine.
2. Kia Picanto 1.25 2 5dr
Typical price (on the road): £10,410
Typical monthly payment: £141 (4.9% APR and £500 finance deposit allowance)
This newly-released Picanto is a fine city tool and the 1.25-litre petrol engine has more oomph than the 1.0 three-cylinder unit. The 3-spec models are best value.
1. Seat Ibiza 1.0 S 5dr
Typical price (on the road): £10,839
Typical monthly payment: £150 (5.9% APR and £2000 finance deposit allowance)
A brilliant drive, and more than spacious enough, the new-gen Ibiza is peppy and fuel-efficient with its turbocharged 1.0-litre engine. This S model has aircon and alloys; the FR is more luxurious.
