Charity needs new ‘friends’
Strathcarron Hospice’s voluntary befriending service being managed by specialist palliative care clinical nurse Susan High can help people to remain at home insteadof going into hospital - and improve their quality of life.
The pioneering scheme is geared towards bringing light and life into the worlds of people who - for example - suffer from debilitating conditions that can leave them isolated and alienated at home.

Hide AdSusan said: “We have funding in place for this service, but what we really need now is volunteers able to give some of their time to people who really need friendship and attention.”
