The show stars Jonathan Procter as Captain Von Trapp – the same role he played in 1991 when CAOS last staged the Sound of Music.

The role of Maria will be played on this occasion by Claire Wheatley with Elaine Mitchell starring as her rival, the grand Baroness. Eileen Clifford will play Margareta with Carol Whitelaw playing the part of Mother Abbess.

The cast is supported by a number of energetic children as the Von Trapp kids.

The Sound of Music will be staged from November 12 to 17 at Carluke Lifestyles Centre. Tickets are priced from £8 to £13 with a family of four discount available for the Saturday matinee of just £36.
