£1500 worth of property stolen from Kirkintilloch home

PROPERTIES and vehicles in Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs have been targeted by thieves in the dead of night.

More than £1,500 worth of items were taken from a home in Alloway Drive, Kirkintilloch, overnight between Friday, November 16, and the next morning.

Meanwhile, a thief smashed a van window and stole a £400 electric saw. The Ford Transit was parked in Moorfoot, Bishopbriggs, when it was targeted overnight between Saturday, November 17, and Sunday, November 18.

Police have warned motorists to keep their vehicles secure after an iPod was stolen from an unlocked car in Murrayfield, Bishopbriggs, overnight between Sunday, November 18, and the next morning.

And a drill worth £200 was stolen from an unlocked garage in Woodhill Road, Bishopbriggs, at some point between Wednesday, November 14, and Friday, November 16.
