A team of fitness experts who helped Boys Brigade leaders play football for an amazing 55 hours non-stop were given a special support award.
Claire Spence, who practices Kinetic Chain Release, heard about the world record attempt by Bishopbriggs BB earlier this year. They played five-a-side football at Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld, for an amazing 55 hours.
She offered her KCR service – a series of stretches and joint mobilisations – and has been officially thanked after helping them smash the record.
Claire said: ‘‘Knowing that KCR guarantees improved athletic performance I volunteered a group of practitioners to attend.
“The boys were coming off limping and exhausted as the hours went on. Following a 30 min KCR session they were revitalised and aches and pains gone.”
One member, Cameron Gray, said the results were ‘outstanding’. He added: ‘‘I had never experienced this before I undertook our Boys’ Brigade World Record Attempt a week or so ago. However, it was undoubtedly one of the key factors in our success. Not only did we all manage to play football for 55 hours, but we also managed to do it with the whole team still walking the day afterwards.’’
