Bikes stolen and bedroom attacked in Briggs

THE bedroom window of a house in Kentigern Terrace, Bishopbriggs, has been smashed – causing around £100 worth of damage.

The incident took place on Saturday at around 1.20am.

Meanwhile, two mountain bikes worth £400 have been stolen from a shed in Bishopbriggs.

The theft took place in O’Neill Avenue overnight between Saturday and the following morning.

* A 22-year-old motorist has been charged with driving while using a handheld mobile phone.

He was caught by police in Birdston Road, in Milton of Campsie, on Sunday at around 5.50pm.

Meanwhile, a 31-year-old man was charged with driving without insurance in Main Street, Lennoxtown, on Friday, September 30, at around 1.40pm.
