A MEMBER of 1970s chart topping group Slik will take to the stage with his band at the Torrance Inn this weekend.
The Billy McIsaac Band will perform on Saturday with local girl, Joanna McCaskill, making her vocal debut fronting the group.
Jo’s amazing, warm and rich vocals combined with a dynamic performance took her to X-Factor bootcamp in 2009 where she was amongst the final few contestants to sing at the London Apollo.
Billy McIsaac (keyboards/vocals) was in Slik along with Midge Ure. ‘Forever and ever’ went to number one in the British charts, then all over Europe.
Since then, Billy has recorded numerous singles and three albums.
Gordon Bowie (sax/keyboard/vocals) has played lead alto sax with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and performed on TV theme tunes.
Billy said: “It promises to be a fantastic night with music from the charts and even jazz to the fore so don’t miss it!”
