Bishopbriggs North and Torrance councillor Anne McNair says the council “has so far failed to engage in any meaningful consultation with local communities, and even with local councillors”.
She said: “SNP councillors are calling on the council to engage meaningfully with local people and ensure that consultation is carried out at an early stage when the views expressed can help to shape developments. This has to be done before any final decisions are made.”

Council leader Rhondda Geekie said: “Plans for a new community hub in Bishopbriggs are in the early stages and as part of the process we will be consulting with the community council, local residents and key community and civic groups. “We recently carried out stakeholder engagement activity on the community hub proposals in Lennoxtown and the findings were considered at a committee last week.”
