Creative Care Scotland is celebrating after being awarded a grant of £2,000 from the Asda Foundation, in honour of Asda’s 50th birthday.
In association with Asda Bishopbriggs, the Asda Foundation is celebrating the 50th anniversary by supporting local good causes in the area. Customers and colleagues at the Bishopbriggs store were asked to nominate local community projects, with Creative Care Scotland receiving the most votes.
The £2,000 birthday grant to Creative Care Scotland is just one of over 70 being made to deserving communities and groups, up and down the country.
Ellen Rogan, store manager at Asda Bishopbriggs, said: “We wanted to give back to a deserving cause in Bishopbriggs as a huge thank you for the work they do in the community – and Creative Care Scotland really fits the bill.
“As it’s our 50th birthday we wanted to celebrate with everyone who has helped make Asda what it is today these past 50 years. We care about the communities we work in and are always looking to support local causes in any way we can. ”
Set up in 1988, the Asda Foundation aims to have a positive impact on local communities by providing support to local good causes.
