Joyce Vogan, who’s the wife of a Kirkintilloch Baptist pastor, had always hoped she might one day have a chat with Paul Sinha, larger than life star of hit ITV programme The Chase – but she didn’t expect him to call round in person.
The Reverend David Vogan, pastor at Harestanes Baptist Church, said: “This happened when my Joyce had been feeling unwell and needed cheering up.
“I had dropped the show an email, hoping it might be possible at some stage for her to have a few words with Paul on the phone.
“Instead he turned up at our home in person – and chatted away with Joyce about his life with the programme.
“It was a great surprise for her and really made her day – and was a really nice gesture from Paul, who came over specially from Edinburgh.”
Paul – full name Supriya Kumar Sinha – is a multi-talented doctor, game show star and stand up comedian of Indian descent, and joined The Chase four years ago.
His nicknames on the show include Sarcasm in a Suit and The Sinnerman.
