Chip in for charity at Mario’s
Recently voted as Glasgow’s finest fish and chip shop in the Italian Awards– and runner-up across the whole of Scotland, proprietors Michael and Tracey DeMarco are putting their money where their mouths are.
Chip In for Crohn’s and Colitis is an initiative in support of The Catherine McEwan Foundation fund that the DeMarco’s have embraced with passion.

“On Tuesday, March 12 from 4pm until 11pm every single penny spent in the shop will be donated to the Foundation. We would like to raise as much money as possible to assist with research.”
Michael added: “As a family run business – my father Mario established the shop in 1984 – we regard our customers as extended family, the support we received just as we were refurbishing the shop knocked us out.
“We thought that this would be a great way to show community support for the foundation and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who manage our son’s care at the IBD clinic”.
