Kirkintilloch Ladies Choir and Westerton Male Voice Choir staged an entertaining joint concert recently.

Almost 400 people packed St David’s Memorial Park Church to listen to a varied programme containing pieces performed by each choir, joint items, solos and a Scots version of David and Goliath.

One of the highlights being the joint piece “All in the April Evening”.

The choirs were led by musical director Bryan Marshall and accompanied by Maryam Sherhan, who also showed her versatility by playing a Neil Gow piece on the violin.

The choirs raised a lot of money for their two chosen charities, the Emma Cameron Foundation and the Beatson Cancer Trust (formerly Friends of the Beatson).
