Consent given for 125 new homes at Stepps development

Planning consent has been given for 125 new homes to be built in North Lanarkshire.

The mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses by Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, off Cumbernauld Road in Stepps, will form the next phase of its Frankfield Loch development in Stepps.

The development will also also have an equipped play area for children and a landscaped open space.

As part of the planning conditions, Taylor Wimpey has promised to make a significant contribution towards local education in the area.

Stephen Andrew, Wimpey’s Associate Technical Director, said: “We are delighted to confirm that detailed planning consent has been granted for our land off Cumbernauld Road in Stepps. This marks our ongoing commitment, investment and strong track record of delivering excellent quality developments across the North Lanarkshire area, as well as our local commitment to Stepps.
