Two men are set to appear in court on Monday in connection with alleged drugs offences after police found cocaine in a car on Springburn Road.

Police arrested two men, aged 27 and 34, after a vehicle was stopped there at around 6.30pm on Thursday.

Police later raided a property in Stornoway Street, Milton, using a search warrant, and found cocaine and heroin as well as cannabis plants.

A 29 year old woman was arrested and is in police custody in connection with alleged drugs offences.

The total estimated street value of the drugs recovered from the vehicle and the property is £150,000.

Detective Inspector Stuart Lipsett said: “Drugs and the people who supply them have absolutely no place in our communities and we have teams of specialist officers working every day to tackle this issue.

“Support from members of the public is absolutely vital to our work and we would continue to encourage people to pass on any information regarding drugs activity in their area.

“Anyone with information can contact their local police station via 101 or call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.
