Cubs head to the city centre for community challenge
THE 79th Glasgow Cubs swapped Stamperland for Central station last week in a bid to earn their community challenge badges.
The youngsters visited the bustling city centre station to find out about how members of the community help the public, meeting up with sergeant Patrick Fisher from the British Transport Police and Paul Lyons, of Network Rail.
The officer and rail representative showed the boys around the station and introduced them to other organisations working to keep commuters safe.
Cub scout leader Philip Moseley told The Extra: “We had a great time — many thanks to sergeant Fisher and Paul Lyons.”
