Damn Delicious celebrates top award at Scotch Pie World Championships

Damn Delicious, of Lanark High Street, received a Gold Award in the hot savoury section after impressing the judges with the quality of its steak bakes.

For owner Michael Shannon and his team it’s reward for the time and effort taken to produce a quality product.

Michael said: “To win any award can only help our business and this year saw the highest number of entries to the competition since it began.

“A huge part of our success has to go to our baker Scott Paton, who makes our steak bakes, and the rest of our team who all have their own input to our success.

“There were over 500 entries across the various categories so we are all really chuffed; it’s a tremendous accolade for us.”
