A Milngavie councillor has raised concerns about a derelict house after his constituents complained that it is an eyesore and at risk of being vandalised.
Windows have already been broken at the property in Craigton Road, Milngavie, and there is evidence that fires have been set inside.
Councillor Eric Gotts says the builders, Fleming Buildings Ltd, have a responsibility to make the site secure with fences - but they have fallen down and people can now get into the house.
He said: “People are worried that it could be set on fire or that it will be used as a drinking den - it looks really terrible.
“I’d like the builders to confirm that they will make the site secure. This situation is unacceptable.”
Fleming Buildings Ltd were unavailable for comment.
