STAFF and regulars at a Kirkintilloch pub are gearing up to hold their fourth annual charity football match this weekend.
McGinley’s Bar has raised over £10,000 for a number of good causes in previous years with the fundraising game.
Organisers are hoping for a bumper crowd when the latest charity game kicks-off at Adamslie Park this Sunday, September 4.
This year’s charity is Kidney Research UK.
As well as the game, there will be a raffle with a host of great prizes, including a signed framed portrait of Scotland striker James McFadden scoring against France and autographed football tops.
Local businesses have also donated a host of great prizes.
A spokesperson for the charity match organisers said: “We would like to extend the invitation to the match to everyone in the Kirkintilloch area, and not just to regulars of McGinley’s Bar.”
The charity match kicks-off at Adamslie Park at 2pm. Admission for adults is £3 and it’s £1 for children.
