Driver cut free from car after two-vehicle crash at Bishopbriggs

A pensioner had to be cut free from his car after a two-vehicle crash at Bishopbriggs during rush hour this morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Bishopbriggs Cross.

A police spokesman said a 67-year-old male driver was trapped in his car and had to be freed by firefighters using cutting apparatus.

It is unknown as yet the extent of his injuries or whether anyone else was hurt in the collision which saw two bollards flattened.
