Drug dealer from Kirkintilloch ordered to pay £55k from proceeds of crime

A drug dealer from Kirkintilloch has been ordered to pay prosecutors £55,000 under proceeds of crime legislation.

Barry Letham (35) was ordered to pay the cash following a hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday (Monday).

The crook was jailed for six years and three months at the High Court in Glasgow in November 2015.

He was jailed alongside Michael Stewart (26) and 34-year-old Bernard Conn, who were both jailed for four years.

The trio, all from Kirkintilloch, were involved in supplying cocaine between April and July 2012.

All three men were snared in undercover police operation, Operation Solar.
