Supporters of Rob Roy football club took to the pitch at Adamslie Park recently to say farewell to the ground which is being vacated at the end of the season.

The fans match, organised by Rob Roy Travel Club, saw two 11-player teams battle out a 5-5 draw over 90 minutes - one wearing the iconic Rob Roy black and red hoops.

Refreshments were provided and there was also a glossy souvenir match programme produced for everyone to keep as a memento of the day’s events.

A pipe band were also playing for everyone’s pleasure - piping out the players and supporters at the end of the game for the symbolic ‘locking of the gates’.

A travel club spokesperson said: “We would like to thank Kenwil Design & Print, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy FC and committee members, The Kirkintilloch Herald, Pulse 98.4 FM Radio and McGinley’s Bar for their great help and assistance.”
