A BLAZING car rolled into a house after being torched by crooks – causing tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage.

A Hyundai I30 and a Ford Ranger pick-up were both parked in a driveway in Bridgend Crescent in Moodiesburn when they were both set alight.

The Ford pick-up was so badly damaged by the blaze that it rolled down the sloped driveway into the garage door, setting fire to the house’s porch.

Firefighters were quickly on the scene to tackle the blaze, which was discovered by passing police officers.

The family were home at the time of the blaze, but fortunately no-one was injured.

“The fire spread from one of the vehicles to the porch section of the house, however, the fire service were on the scene quickly and the fire was quickly taken under control, ensuring that the family within did not come to any harm.
