Police Scotland is appealing for information following a fatal road crash in the Robroyston area of Glasgow on Saturday, 19 December.

Around 7.45pm a 58-year-old man was in the roadway on Hillhead Road near to Standburn Road when he was struck by a Ford Fiesta.

Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Nicola Taylor said: “At this time his movements prior to being struck by the car are unclear and enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.

“We believe he had been walking through the area beforehand and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen him to contact police.
