Born in Hong Kong and raised on a diet of American alternative rock, Emmy The Great has positioned herself at the heart of the British alternative music scene.

Two critically-acclaimed solo albums only scratch the surface of her output since debut single ‘Secret Circus’ was released in April 2006.

There’s also been collaborations with Lightspeed Champion, Noah and the Whale, Kate Nash, Fatboy Slim, Dev Hynes and Johnny Flynn.

And a long-term admiration for Britpop survivors Ash has seen her stepping out with front man Tim Wheeler, with the couple releasing a Christmas album in 2011.

She’s also an accomplished music journalist, having wirtten for the likes of Vice and the Observer.

This year sees Emmy undertake a major US, European and British tour.

It’s in support of her new EP, entitled ‘S’, which is released on Monday, January 26.
