Invitation to share your stories about local women - the well known and the unsung heroines - in East Dunbartonshire

Are you interested in women in history who lived and worked in East Dunbartonshire?

Following on from the successful event in Twechar last month, local people are being invited to take part in another Trails and Tales event at Baldernock Primary School.

People are invited to share their stories about local women – both the well-known and the unsung heroines - over tea, coffee and biscuits.

Scott Hill, Chair of East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust, said: “These events are an informal gathering of local people reminiscing about local women who lived and worked in East Dunbartonshire. The fascinating stories are being collated and preserved and will lead to the development of a series of new sculpture and arts heritage trails across the local authority.”

The friendly and informal events will include discussions on the most remembered local women, short talks, a fun women’s quiz, discussion and hands on activities giving an introduction to Glasgow Women’s Library and some of the women’s heritage projects that are happening all over Scotland.

The free event is taking place at Baldernock Primary School – Thursday, November 26 – 6.30pm to 8pm.
