A total of 21 new jobs are expected to be created at Sainsbury’s in Kirkintilloch which is undergoing a major refurbishment.
The local supermarket is to close for four days next week for the work to be carried out to improve facilities for customers.
It will re-open on Thursday, December 4 with a range of improvements for customers, including a new meat and fish counter, and a pizza and bakery counter.
Store manager Carol Gardner said: “The investment in the store is fantastic and will be great for the local community of Kirkintilloch and the surrounding area.
“Sainsbury’s hope it will offer customers a new and wider range of products that they will enjoy.”
She added: “I look forward to welcoming everyone when we re-open on Thursday, December 4.”
