Last call for Scottish Nature Photography Awards entries

There's only a short time left for nature photography enthusiasts to show off their skills in the 7th annual Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year competition. Entries close on Wednesday, November 30, at midnight.

The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers and includes a range of categories for wildlife, landscape, botanical, abstract and environmental photography, all taken in Scotland.

Judges Andy Hall, Niall Irvine and Richard Shucksmith will choose the winners and will also award titles to the Junior Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2016 (for under-18s) and Student Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2016 (for students undertaking a photography element in their course).

Prizes include luxury holiday breaks, campervan hire, tours and visitor experiences, cash prizes, prints and subscriptions.

An exhibition of winning images will go on tour in 2017 and winning and shortlisted images will be published in a Portfolio Yearbook.
