Lenzie Post Office, hit by a mystery closure last month, was set to reopen on Friday (August 28).
Based in the U-Save convenience store at 118 Kirkintilloch Road the branch had been working with auditors on some unspecified problem, according to staff.
On Friday morning the notice in the window informing customers of temporary closure was still there, but the Post Office said it would be back in business.
A spokesperson said: “At the reopened Lenzie Post Office you will be able to do everything from cash withdrawals from a Post Office Card Account, to sending funds abroad using Moneygram, paying bills, buying holiday money, getting insurance, mortgages, savings and top up mobile phones.
“As the traditional banking network declines, customers for 95 per cent of UK banks can use their post office for online banking cash deposits and withdrawals and bill payments.”
Douglas Heed, Post Office field change advisor said: “We know how important these services are to local residents and we are pleased to able to restore services to this area.
The branch will operate the same opening hours as previously – from 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday; 7am to 7pm on Saturday and from 8am to 4pm on Sunday.
