A PRIMARY school building has become a magnet for anti-social behaviour according to neighbouring residents.
Concerned householders say they have had to repeatedly call the police after witnessing upsetting night time scenes at Holy Family Primary, in Lenzie.
One resident, who asked not to be named, told the Herald: “It is a lovely little school during the day, but at night it turns into a nightmare.
“Crowds of boys and girls hang around drinking and cars come and go at all hours.
“I’ve phoned the police many times, but they always seem to turn up too late. This is not a new thing - this has been going on for years.”
Community Safety Constable Siobhan McCandlish said that the police were aware of the issue.
She added: “Whenever we are informed of youth disorder we take all complaints seriously.
“Youth disorder is high up on our agenda and we will follow-up any reports from the public.
“Any offences that have occurred will be dealt with accordingly.”
