The countdown is on for the 2015 East Dunbartonshire Business Awards.
The awards, organised by East Dunbartonshire Council, aim to recognise and showcase the district’s top businesses.
Last year’s awards ceremony, held in the Eagle Lodge, Bishopriggs, was a huge success and the same venue will host the 2015 event.
Nominations for the prestigious awards open in March. The Kirkintilloch and Bishopriggs Herald and the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald are the main media sponsors for the awards. Further details will published over the coming weeks, both in the papers and on our websites.
A panel of judges from the council, partners and business sector will again help to choose the finalists, who will be invited to the special awards dinner on Friday, May 29 at The Eagle Lodge.
Councillor Alan Moir, convener of development and regeneration at East Dunbartonshire Council, said: “Preparations for the 2015 awards are gathering pace and I am looking forward to officially launching the event soon.
“The 2014 awards were a tremendous celebration of the many hard-working men and women helping to power East Dunbartonshire’s economy.”
Herald editor Jim Holland said: “The last few years have been extremely difficult for many businesses, small and large. The East Dunbartonshire Business Awards recognise all the hard work and effort put in by staff, managers and others to make their business a success.
“The Herald is delighted to be media sponsors for the event once again. Last year’s awards dinner was a great night and I’m sure the 2015 event will be just as good.”
