The generosity of a local family has made this Christmas the perfect time to give a gift to Maggie’s, the charity which provides free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their family and friends.
The Wiseman family has pledged to match-fund every donation made to Maggie’s Glasgow and Maggie’s Lanarkshire before the end of the year up to a total of £50,000 for each centre.
So far, Maggie’s Glasgow and Maggie’s Lanarkshire have raised more than two thirds of their target amount but they need to raise more than £30,000 by New Year’s Eve in order to make the most of the Wiseman’s generosity and receive the maximum £100,000.
Maggie’s relies on voluntary donations to make the biggest difference possible to people living with cancer and their family and friends.
