Voters are reminded to make sure they are registered to vote at the General Election on May 7.
Poll cards will be issued from the start of April, giving details of where voters will be able to cast their vote.
The deadline for registering to vote is April 20 and voters can now register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
The Electoral Commission has launched an awareness campaign emphasising the need to register. It is particularly aimed at people who have recently moved home or live in rented accommodation.
The Electoral Registration Officer for Dunbartonshire and Argyll and Bute, David Thomson, said: “Anyone not yet registered to vote should do so as soon as possible if they want to have a say on who represents them in Westminster.”
Everyone at an address is responsible for registering, rather than the old system with one person who registers all those at a property.
